RD$35 to ride the Santiago Skylift
Santiago Skylift riders after a free month of rides now pay RD$35 fares. The skylift is operating Monday to Friday from 6am to 10:30pm and on 6am to 9pm on Saturdays. On Sundays and holidays, the schedule is from 8am to 9pm.
Cash or debit/credit Visa and MasterCard is accepted and other pay bank platforms. To get the precharged payment system, need to buy a Fitram card for RD$100 that funds RD$40 to future rides. The card is valid for the Skylift, the monorail and future corridors.
The Fitram office says that during the trial period, around 240,000 rides were made as residents in Santiago tested the new system. Children under 16 need to be accompanied by an adult to ride the system.
