Uber technology company is starting its operations in Puerto Plata

PUERTO PLATA.- Uber technology company is starting its operations in the province of Puerto Plata, where it will offer its services via mobile application under UberX mode, with vehicles for four passengers per way.

A note sent to this editorial indicates that with the arrival to the North Coast, Uber consolidates its plans for expansion in the country and extends its commitment to facilitate more options for safe, efficient and economic mobility, improving the mobility of areas with greater transit nationwide, with the push of a button on the cell phone.

“With the introduction of our innovative platform to the city of Puerto Plata, we seek to facilitate and meet the high demand for mobility in this destination, through high standards of safety and quality in customer service,” said Juan Andión, general manager of Uber for the Caribbean.

The company allows the puertoplateños the access to a platform in which they can request a service of mobility and immediately they visualize the name, the photo of the driving partner, as well as the model and plate of the vehicle.

Another safety measure for the benefit of residents and visitors of La Novia del Atlántico is real-time feedback from the driving partner to the user and vice versa, and real-time travel traceability.

In addition, Uber users enjoy the ease of making payments in cash as well as credit or debit card, which can also be divided among all the passengers of the trip, and get their receipts by email.

In Dominican territory, Uber also operates in the cities of Santo Domingo and Santiago, but it is currently located in more than 600 cities in 77 countries, creating efficient, safe and affordable urban mobility solutions for millions of users.
