Record setting -5 degrees Celsius (23 F) in the Dominican Republic
Santo Domingo.- Temperatures in Valle Nuevo National Park (central) dawn Friday reached what could be a record-setting -5 degrees Celsius (23 F), according protected area administrator, Julio César de los Santos.
The National Weather Office (Onamet) said the temperature in the nearby city of Constanza dropped to 7 degrees Celsius on Thursday, and noted that it’s always colder Valle Nuevo.
“In Valle Nuevo there are even colder temperatures than in Constanta itself, where the lowest temperatures are recorded in the entire country,” Onamet said, quoted by diariolibre.com.
