Potholes on the roads of Sosúa are being repaired
After the rains in recent weeks potholes reappeared on the roads of Sosúa. Holes up to 1 feet deep are no exception. Especially for a motorbike or scooter rider this is very dangerous. But after the consultation with the Ministry of Public works and Communications a plan has been set up to fill the holes in an efficient way. Both the ministry and the municipality of Sosúa now contribute to the cost. At present, workers are busy cutting the damaged asphalt with a sawing machine in several places in Sosúa. They remove old asphalt and then fill it up with new asphalt again. The mayor wants all potholes repaired before the Easter week (Semana Santa).
This week Sosúa is expected to be flooded with Dominican holidaymakers. A broken pavement doesn’t provide any safety.
