Orange and Tricom are now Altice

Orange and Tricom stores and offices are now branded as Altice. The international company on Monday, 20 November 2017 formally launched its new corporate identity that merges the two big players in the Dominican telecom market.

Martin Roos, CEO of Altice Dominicana, said the merge is part of a global strategy of the company. He said the new logo conveys the open roads ahead, without limits or borders, and the intention of the company to continuously innovate and reinvent the future. He said the company overall has invested RD$20.4 billion in the Dominican Republic. He announced new alliances with educational centers nationwide.

Roos explained Altice has more than five million residential and business customers in the Dominican Republic. Altice is an Netherlands-based multinational telecoms company, that was founded and is headed by the French billionaire Patrick Drahi.
