New drainage system on Pedro Clisante
The construction of the new drainage system in the main street Pedro Clisante, Sosúa is almost finished. In front of Bermuda Bar, Rumba Bar and Bar Central four fairly wide tubes have been installed in the ground to groundwater level. The tubes are now covered with a concrete structure, with a lid and filter system. The idea is that during heavy rains the street will not be kept flooded anymore for hours or days, but the abundant rainwater will drain quickly into the four wells. The workmen also told us that the fire-fighters will also benefit from the wells. If there is a fire somewhere, then they can fill their truck with extinguishing water from these wells.
