The Jazz Festival continued in the amphitheater of Casa Marina on Thursday, November 2nd. Two nights before the festival had already started in Santiago and Santo Domingo. The first group to take the stage was Javier Vargas & Atre, a Dominican jazz fusion group led by ‘Javielo’ Vargas.

The musician, composer and leader of the group ‘Javielo’ was accompanied by the musicians Ronald Feliz, Samuel Atizol, José Abner Cabrera, Oscar Rodriguez, Francis Peña and singer Laura Bonifacio. After a short pause, the performance followed by the Israeli Roni Eytan with his harmonica. He was accompanied by three musicians, Shachar Elnathan, Daniel Schwarzwald and Tal Mashiach. They played songs from the Middle East, North Africa and Andalusia. The musical evening ended up with a performance by the Berklee Jazz Ambassadors. The amphitheater was filled to the last seat with enthusiastic music lovers and gave a thunderous applause to show that they enjoyed the performances. Friday night the jazz festival continued in Puerto Plata and on Saturday and Sunday on the beach of Cabarete. To end the entire festival, Fefita la Grande with her Tipica band performed on the beach of Cabarete to give the festival, a traditional Dominican final.
