International Tourists Say Dominican Beaches are the Country’s Key Attraction
Thirty percent of international visitors to the Dominican Republic indicated that the quality of the country’s beaches were the main reason why they visited the country, says a recent study published by the Central Bank.
According to the survey European nationals (37%) greatly valued the beauty of local beaches, followed by South Americans (33%), North Americans (29%) and Central Americans (16%).
The weather was another important factor, as mentioned by tourists surveyed, such as Americans (20%), Central Americans (5%), South Americans (11%) and Europeans (25%). Other important findings: 16% cited hospitality, 8% prices and 12% said their family and friends motivated them to visit the Dominican Republic.
