German caught when trying to assault exchange house in Puerto Plata
Workers at the Wally exchange house on the main street in Cabarete thwarted the attempt of a German to hold up the exchange house. The German was identified by the Police as 52-year old Norbert Schwad.
As reported, Schwad said he was jobless and he held up the business at gunpoint to get cash. The employees of the exchange but managed to rush into a separate room, activate the security system to shut down the exchange house and impede the man from leaving until the Police arrived to arrest him. The gun turned out to be a toy gun.
