Brits want to buy avocados
According to the Dominican ambassador in London, Federico Cuello, businessmen from the United Kingdom have announced they would like to buy the total avocado production of the country.
t a meeting with avocado farmers in Cambita Garabito, a rural community in San Cristobal, he said that avocados were in great demand by the British.
The meeting was arranged by the director of the National Sugar Institute, (INAZUCAR), Antonio Lopez, who travelled to London and made contacts to sell Dominican products there.
The farmers in Cambita will began the process to capture the British market during a meeting with Ambassador Cuello; the director INAZUCAR, and the co-founder of the Dominican Chamber of Commerce in London, Rolfi Chevalier.
