The main problems for Dominicans
The findings of the latest Gallup-Hoy poll show that Dominicans believe that the most pressing problems that need addressing are crime (56.2%), the high cost of living (54%), and the lack of jobs (41.4%). Crime is of special concern to residents of the Greater Santo Domingo area with 64.5% singling it out as their main priority.
The survey was carried out between 24 and 27 January 2016 throughout the country with a sample of 1,200 people.
