The ‘Queens of the Caribbean’ won over Colombia
Santo Domingo.- The “Queens of the Caribbean” won their third straight on Monday to stay unbeaten (3-0) after winning in four sets (25-13, 17-25, 25-18, 25-18) over Colombia, in the XV Pan American Cup Santo Domingo 2016 being held in the Olympic Center.
Gina Mambrú scored 19, Brayelin Matínez 16, Lisvel Eve 11, Annerys Vargas 10, Bethania De la Cruz 6.
After the easy win in the first set with their top players, the local women had to come from behind and battle for every point as the Colombians pulled ahead in the second set.
