Santo Domingo’s Metro new line could start operating by August 16th
Santo Domingo.- Construction on the four stations of Santo Domingo’s Metro Line II-B is nearly finished, for which the start of operation is expected before August 16.
A Transport Reorganization Office (Opret) source who asked not to use his name made the revelation on Tuesday, one day after workers started installing electric equipment and decorations at the station located between San Vicente de Paul corner Venezuela avenues.
Work at the station located at Fernandez de Navarrete also advances at a quick pace, at nearly 95% complete. German Almonte, a contractor quoted by elcaribe.com.do, said that station will be ready by the end of June or early July.
