Police announces more agents, motorcycles to fight crime spree
Santo Domingo.- Starting today Monday several National Police divisions will strengthen the patrols in Greater Santo Domingo, as part of its heightened effort to combat the latest spate of crime plaguing the country.
Police chief Nelson Peguero said a total 300 agents and 50 motorcycles are to be included in patrols, with additional agents from the Central Div., Criminal Investigations and Preventive Police.
In that regard, Police spokesman Maximo Baez said the Criminal Div., which he affirms hadn’t been involved in patrols for 5 years, will bolster actions to prevent crimes.
