Plane makes belly landing at Las Americas, no one hurt
Santo Domingo.- A plane which encountered technical problems upon takeoff with 13 people on board landed on its belly at Las Americas International Airport Thursday afternoon.
No passengers of crew were injured, although two of the occupants were treated for anxiety.
Two pilots, seven adults and four children were on the plane of Sky High air services company, according to the Dominican Civil Aviation Institute (IDAC).
“When it took off, the pilot noticed that the front landing gear didn’t fully retract, so the decision to return was adopted immediately, informing air traffic control tower ” the IDAC said in a statement.
The plane, headed to Anguilla, circled the airport until all fuel was dumped prior to landing.
