Officials dismantle drug points in Cabarete
PUERTO PLATA – Early today, law officers of Puerto Plata and officials of the Central Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DICRIM) of the National Police dismantled two outlets of distribution and packaging of drugs through an operation conducted in two sectors of the municipal district of Cabarete.
It was reported that the operation was headed by the Head of Puerto Plata; Osvaldo Bonilla Hiraldo who acted together with the director of DICRIM in Puerto Plata; Colonel Jose Manuel Hernandez Gutierrez, along with other police officers who after a thorough intelligence work could dismantle the two drug outlets operating in a house in the neighborhood of the residential area Costa Azul.
Also about four electronic scales, brand Tanita, six strainers two sealing of plastic bags, 8 packets of white powder, presumably cocaine, 64 packets of vegetable presumably marijuana, scissors, nail files, knives, pans and other utensils that were used for packaging drugs.
So far it has not not mentioned whether any people got arrested for being linked with the operation.
