New Park and Amphitheater in Puerto Plata Overlooks the Atlantic Ocean
The Ministry of Tourism recently inaugurated the “La Puntilla” Park and the Puerto Plata Amphitheater, overlooking the majestic Atlantic Ocean.
The complex is situated just a few steps away from the Fortress of San Felipe, the 16th century military structure, and one of the north coast city’s most important icons.
The recreational and cultural complex is situated at the far end of the city’s scenic Oceanside Boulevard.
National and international visitors will be able to enjoy moonlit concerts, featuring top artists.
The country’s Minister of Tourism, Francisco Javier Garcia, stated that the amphitheater will feature an annual program of artistic and cultural activities.
The amphitheater is expected to become an important tourism attraction in the north coast region.
Both the park and amphitheater are situated overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, as well as the nearby city port and beautiful bay.
The Puerto Plata Amphitheater has a capacity for 3,500 visitors and occupies a total area of 1,877.68 square meters. It is situated inside the “La Puntilla Park.”
The project’s goal is to provide additional attractions to the region’s important tourism industry.
It is situated just steps away from the city’s historic center and its beautiful Oceanside drive.
