Making property transactions more efficient
The Judicial Branch Council (CPJ) has announced the creation of a single-stop shop for providing property jurisdiction services. The Ventanilla Expresa en la Jurisdiccion Inmobiliaria seeks to speed up the services provided at the Direccion Nacional de Mensuras Catastrales, the government department in charge of keeping a comprehensive register of the real estate in the country.
Act No. 03/2016 creates the post of Encargado de Gestion Administrativa de Mensuras Catastrales, the person who will now be in charge of providing the property registration and management services. The one-stop shop will be open Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 6pm. The new division is supposed to channel documentation received on the same day with documentation taking a maximum of five days. The cost of the service is 30% higher than the regular procedures.
