JCE Bulletin 12: Medina 61.79%, Abinader 34.96%
The Central Electoral Board (JCE) issued Bulletin 12 yesterday, Monday, 23 May 2016 giving 61.79% of the vote (2,27,650 votes) to President Danilo Medina of the ruling PLD and allies and 34.96% (1,599,929) to Luis Abinader of the PRM and allies.
According to the bulletin, Guillermo Moreno of AlPais received 83,257 votes or 1.82%, Elias Wessin of the PQDC) received 20,156 votes (0.44%), Pelegrin Castillo of the FNP received 16,155 (0.35%), Minou Tavarez Mirabal of APD received 15,754 (0.34%), Hatuey de Camps of the PRSD received 8,055 votes (0.18%), and Soraya Aquino of the PUN received 5,294 votes (0.12%).
As of Bulletin 12, 98.67% of the votes at the presidential level had been counted.
At the municipal level, the JCE says that the count has concluded in 148 municipalities, with 10 remaining to be decided.
Likewise, Bulletin 12 concludes the electoral race for 21 senators, with 19 seats allocated to PLD candidates, one to a PRM candidate and another to a BIS candidate and 59 deputies.
