It’s going to be a cold Christmas
According to the National Meteorological Office (Onamet), the Dominican Republic is in for a cold Christmas due to a cold front due to arrive in north, north east and center of the country on Christmas Eve.
The front is expected to reduce temperatures to between 10 and 12 degrees Celsius in the mountain areas of Jarabacoa and Constanza and between 17 and 18 degrees in the capital city of Santo Domingo.
In addition to the cold weather, rain is also expected on Friday 23 and Saturday 24 December 2016 in the north of the country.
