Impounded vehicles will be sold at the auction after 21 days
Santo Domingo.- The Justice Ministry and the Metropolitan Transit Authority (AMET) on Friday warned owners of vehicles and motorcycles impounded nationwide, they’ll be sold in auction if not retrieved within 21 days.
In a statement the agencies said the measure will be enforced starting February 1, and includes the cancellation of the vehicle´s registration and license plate.
Citing Traffic and Motor Vehicle Law 241, the Justice Ministry and AMET clarify that the measure covers all vehicles and motorcycles that yet to be claimed at AMET impound yards nationwide, including Villa Mella, Santo Domingo North; San Isidro, the National District and in Santo Domingo West, among others.
