Happy Women’s Day
The International Women’s Day was instituted in 1975, although it was first celebrated one hundred years ago as a way to commemorate the struggles and achievements of women and to explore the potential and opportunities for future generations of women.
The International Day of Working Women also called International Women’s Day commemorates the struggle of women for their participation on an equal footing with men in society and their full development as a person.
The first celebration of the International Day of Working Women was held on March 19, 1911 in Germany, Austria, Denmark and Switzerland, and has been spreading commemoration since then in many countries. In 1977, the General Assembly of the United Nations Organization (UN) proclaimed March 8 as International Day for Women’s Rights and International Peace.
