Good Conduct Certificates now available online
Attorney General Francisco Dominguez Brito has announced the implementation of a new digital platform for obtaining good conduct certificates to confirm no criminal record online.
Dominguez said that the new technology available through the Citizen Help Center on the Attorney General’s website will issue certifications and legalizations. He said that each certificate would have a digital signature and a unique barcode to guarantee their authenticity and allow them to be validated via the website.
The announcement was made at a press conference yesterday, Tuesday 8 March 2016 where the Attorney General was accompanied by Maura Martinez, Secretary General of the Public Prosecution Service, who is in charge of the Citizen Help Center as well as representatives of the Banco de Reservas, which handles the payments for the certificates.
The certificates can be obtained now from anywhere in the world. With one single payment the citizen can undertake multiple transactions without having to obtain each one individually.
Dominguez Brito said that the payments can also be made online and by using a credit card at any of the Citizen Help Centers throughout the country.
