Fathom Adonia cruise ship will bring social impact on Puerto Plata, arrives Tuesday
PUERTO PLATA – A majestic tourist boat belonging to the cruise line Fathom Adonia launching a social program created by Carnival Corporation, will dock for the first time on Tuesday (April 12th) at Amber Cove port.
The cruise ship will stay in Puerto Plata for three nights thus giving an opportunity for passengers to develop the program of voluntary social work set with different community organizations, and it will return to the Dominican Republic on April 17th and April 24th, and then May 8th and May 22nd.
It was reported that some of the work to be developed by Fathom Adonia cruise passengers in Puerto Plata, is improving housing and common areas in impoverished communities, and working with rehabilitation therapy patients with special needs.
Another objective of the social work carried out by Fathom Adonia cruise passengers is helping the arts and crafts of micro entrepreneurs from women’s cooperatives, and connecting one to one in the houses of Dominican host families.
