Dominican Wings Begins Flights to Trinidad and Tobago

The airline Dominican Wings began its operations by inaugurating direct flights to Trinidad and Tobago from Las Americas International Airport in Santo Domingo, the capital of the country. The Dominican-based company operates under local laws and its main shareholder is Jet Express, a European company based in the capital of Lithuania. The airline announced that it will operate regular flights, but will mostly cater to the charter market.

It is the first Dominican airline to operate a modern A 320 aircraft, registered in the Dominican Republic.

“One of our biggest goals is to provide the best charter service to the majority of the countries in Latin America, Canada and the United States by offering competitive prices, an efficient and quality service to our customers, through our team members and professional crew,” said company president Victor M. Pacheco.

Jet Express was created in 2005 and currently operates 12 Airbus 320 aircraft, and two Airbus 319. One of the Airbus 320-233 aircraft is operated by Dominican Wings, with capacity for 180 passengers.

Dominican Wings will cater to the charter market, working closely with tour operators and other airlines that operate to and from the Dominican Republic. However, the airline also has the capacity to establish regular flights to the Americas and Europe.
