Dominican under 18 girls qualify for volleyball Cup
San Juan, Puerto Rico.- Dominican Republic has ranked 7TH in the FIVB World Under-18 Championship by defeating Mexico 3-0 on Tuesday.
The Dominicans dominated the semifinal with scores 25-18, 25-16, and 25-21.
“We achieved the first objective which was to qualify for the World Cup, now we’ll celebrate a little in the clubhouse and prepare the strategy for the final,” said Alexandre Ceccatto, manager of the Dominican Republic.
Natalia Martinez topped the scoring in the match with 19 points.
Dominican Republic will defend the title won two years on Wednesday night, and secured the 2017 World Cup qualifying in Argentina.
