Dominican capital flights scrubbed as storm plows into Eastern US

Santo Domingo.- Snowstorm Jonas is barreling through the US East Coast for which United Airlines announced it canceled two of its flights scheduled for Saturday from New Jersey to Las Americas International Airport, (AILA), Dominican airports management company Aerodom said Friday.

It said those affected so far are flights 1470 and 1473 with origin and destination to Newark, New Jersey.

Aerodom said international flight operations at Puerto Plata and Samana airports are normal thus far.

It recommends contacting local airlines by phone or by consulting their websites to check the status of flights that could be affected by delays or cancellations.
