The BHD-Leon bank in Puerto Plata got robbed
PUERTO PLATA A branch of Banco BHD-Leon, located on the corner of the streets Juan Bosch and San Felipe in Puerto Plata, was attacked at 5:32 pm yesterday (Tuesday, May 3) by two armed men, who entered the bank posing as security agents of a company’s transportation contractor.

The assailants who in committing the act of vandalism did not use violence or fired guns they carried, loaded with 5.5 million Dominican pesos and 43,500 US dollars fleeing the scene with the huge sum of money.
In that order, the Department of Corporate Communications of Banco BHD-Leon, reported that the assailants disarmed the guard and intimidated people who were inside the branch during the event, demanding tellers to hand over the money without any citizen was injured.
The bank in a press release stressed that relies on the expertise of the National Police to find these criminals since the institution of public order investigates the case in collaboration with the Security Department Banco BHD León to the extent that the most experienced police investigators and public prosecutors investigating the incident.
