Crime in Puerto Plata continues, an emlpoyee of a bakery got robbed for 200,000 pesos
PUERTO PLATA – The rise of criminal acts continues in Puerto Plata despite the great efforts of state security agencies such as the National Police and the Specialized Corps Tourism Security (SECTUR) to try to control thefts and robberies that are recorded daily in this part of the Dominican Republic.
Among the vandalism occurred this week that almost ends, is the heist perpetrated by two men aboard a motorcycle who at a gunpoint robbed an employee of the bakery Silverio Messon of a large sum of cash, and then took the flight at incredible speed.
Such heist happened at the traffic lights at the intersection of roads Jose Eugenio Khunhardt and Major General Antonio Imbert Barrera, when the employee whose identity was not revealed, stopped aboard of the company truck to wait for change of red light, and he was pointed a gun by scoundrels who robbed him of 200,000 pesos in cash.
It is recalled that last Tuesday afternoon three men dressed as private security guards stormed into the main branch of Banco BHD-Leon located on the corner of President Juan Bosch and San Felipe where they loaded with nearly 6 million pesos and 43,500 dollars in cash.
So far, the authorities have no concrete clues that allow them to capture “assailants guachimanes”.
