Civil Aviation announces new flights to Madrid and Mexico City
Santo Domingo.- The Civil Aviation Board (JAC) on Wednesday announced approval of permits foreign carriers Orbest and Aerolitoral to operate regular flights between Madrid-Punta Cana and Santo Domingo-Mexico City.
The carrier Orbest airline will operate regularly scheduled passenger and cargo flights between Madrid and Punta Cana, while Mexico’s Aerolitoral was authorized to do likewise between Mexico City and Santo Domingo.
The two carriers join the 53 foreign airlines currently operatin in the country, the JAC said in a statement.
Among the 212 new routes figure the cities of New Orleans, Nashville, Atlanta, Cincinnati, Baltimore, Houston, Charlotte, Dallas and Cleveland in the US; Buenos Aires, Medellin and Caracas in South America, and Montreal and Ottawa in Canada.
