Traffic cops to impound vehicles without lights at night
Santo Domingo.- Metropolitan Transit Authority (AMET) spokesman Diego Pesqueira warned Tuesday that vehicles being driven at night without front or rear lights will be retained.
The warning comes just one day after newspaper Listin reported that motorists take to the streets “without any control.”
“We will intensify actions to remove all the vehicles detected stripped of their corresponding lights or reflectors,” Pesqueira said.
Listin reported that passenger cars and buses, taxis, motorcycles, SUVs, tractor trailers and trucks were being driven in the dark without lights, even in major arteries.
