The delivery of ID cards to foreigners continues today in Santiago and Puerto Plata
SD. Immigrants who joined the National Plan of Normalization of Foreigners in the provinces of Santiago and Puerto Plata, will receive today their immigration status in the country.
Although they were not precise regarding the time, the Ministry of Interior and Police reported that the delivery of the ID cards is set to be carried out in the offices of the provincial Governor in both provinces.
“We have begun to close a great number of files which have been processed in the Ministry of Interior and Police. The persons that will have these ID cards already have an immigration status that is normal In the Dominican Republic; some will be residents, others nonresidents,” indicated last week the Deputy Minister of Naturalization and Migration, Luis Fernandez.
The delivery process of documents will continue tomorrow Thursday in El Seibo, and on Friday in Bani, province of Peravia.
Interior and Police delivered last Monday 200 ID cards in Santo Domingo, and the Directorate General of Migration, issued a total of 734 to sugar cane workers.
