The City of Santo Domingo Offers Excellent Convention and Events Facilities
Santo Domingo, the capital city of the Dominican Republic, features an active nightlife, cultural events, excellent restaurants and fine shopping possibilities.
In addition, the city has become an important Caribbean destination for the Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Events (MICE) industry.
The city is also home to some of the New World’s most important historic monuments, dating back to the Colonial period.
Santo Domingo’s Colonial Zone has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
In 2014 the Sheraton Santo Domingo Hotel introduced 13 meeting rooms to its facility, covering a 2,100 square foot area.
The area was specifically designed to cater to the MICE tourism sector.

The Hotel Hilton Santo Domingo: The facility is situated on George Washington Avenue, the city’s beautiful seaside boulevard, and features a 1,153 square-foot meeting area.
Crowne Plaza Santo Domingo: Also situated in Santo Domingo’s seaside boulevard, the hotel has 12 meeting rooms in a 3,065.8 square-meter area.
Hotel BQ Santo Domingo: Features seven meeting rooms, with capacity for 1,080 guests.
JW Marriott Hotel Santo Domingo: Situated in Blue Mall, the city’s most up-scale shopping center, on Winston Churchill Avenue, in the very heart of the city’s financial sector. The hotel provides guests with 680 square feet of modern meeting rooms, with state-of-the-art technology and free Wi-Fi.
Occidental El Embajador: This classic hotel, one of the city’s oldest and most fashionable, has three large halls that can accommodate the needs of all kinds of events. The rooms can be subdivided into seven small rooms, with capacity for 800 guests. The hotel also features a business center.
Renaissance Santo Domingo Jaragua Hotel & Casino: Also situated in the city’s seaside boulevard, the hotel features 13 meeting rooms with capacity for 1,200 guests. The hotel will reopen in June 2015, after undergoing major renovations.
