Teen scores Dominican Republic’s first Special Olympics gold
Los Angeles.- Twelve year old Daniella Fortuna scores the Dominican Republic’s first Gold Medal at the 2015 Special Olympics World Games Wednesday in Los Angeles.
The Santo Domingo native not only stood a top the podium in the 200M Freestyle Fortuna also won Silver in the 4x100M.
Other team members let their presence known in 4×100 freestyle relay with Gabriel Guerrero brining home Silver and Renina Curiel picking up Silver in the 4x100M freestyle relay. Juan Cortorreal picked up Silver medal in the 4×100 freestyle while Maximo Mejia saw bronze in the 200M freestyle.
The Special Olympic World Games is one of the largest sporting events in the world held every for years. The World Games in Los Angeles concludes Sunday.
