Spain accepts extradition of Nepomuceno request by DR
A Spanish court accepted the extradition request by the Dominican Republic for Spanish citizen Ambiorix Nepomuceno Rodriguez, the principal suspect in the murder of lawyer Paola Languasco in Santiago in April 2015.
The Central Court of Instruction Num. 001 of Madrid accepted the request by the Dominican authorities, according to the Attorney General of the Republic Francisco Dominguez Brito. Dominguez Brito told Diario Libre that the date of Rodriguez’s extradition to the Dominican Republic could be delayed because he has criminal complaints against him in Spain that are being investigated.
Nepomuceno Rodriguez was arrested in the city of Burgos in Spain, in May 2015, one month after the disappearance of Languasco, 37, whose body was found inside a culvert in a residential area in Santiago several days after she was reported missing by her relatives.
