Return of Carnival Victory to Amber Cove cruise terminal with 2,754 tourists on board
PUERTO PLATA Before dawn comes of Thursday, October 29th, the Carnival Victory cruise ship with 2,754 tourists on board docked at Amber Cove terminal again. And immediately the tourists went out to explore and enjoy the many attractions of Puerto Plata.
It is recalled that the cruise ship Carnival Victory was the first ship belonging to the multinational company Carnival Corporation.
In view of the arrival of the ocean liner with more than two thousand cruise passengers, the state security agencies such as the Tourism Security Specialist Corps (CESTUR), the National Police, Metropolitan Transport (AMET) Authority and other authorities, as usually set up a rigorous and extensive safety measures to provide protection to visitors by police who can be observed on every corner of local streets and avenues.
In the Independence Square, or Central Park of Puerto Plata, the rhythm of a typical merengue dance, ballet of the Ministry of Tourism, there was given a warm welcome to the hundreds of cruise passengers who stepped off comfortable buses.
Also, dozens of vendors crafts and typical souvenir items were organized in the historic center and the Malecon.
