President Medina’s visit to Puerto Plata: He refused to talk about building a four-lane highway and other projects promised to this region
PUERTO PLATA During his visit to the city of Puerto Plata, President of the Dominican Republic, Danilo Medina, tactfully refused to answer questions from a crowd of journalists and reporters who questioned him about the beginning of several construction projects that while he was being a candidate for president he promised to this province, but has not fulfilled yet.
Medina did not answer the barrage of questions about when the construction of the four lane road would replace the ailing highway that connects the city of Puerto Plata with Santiago – Navarrete crossroad.
Similarly, the head of state seemed unfazed when a reporter from a national TV channel asked when the government was gonna fulfill the promise to build a hospital in Sosua.
Throughout the route of President Danilo Medina, reporters grumbled that the President refused to answer their questions. The President visited the premises of the cruise terminal Amber Cove Bay in Maimon, then he went to the town of Sosua to officially open a Polytechnic School built by the Dominican State in La Union. After that he took his presidential helicopter from Air Base Puerto Plata back to Santo Domingo.
