Nickelodeon joins Dominican Republic frenzy with US$92.0M hotel
Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.- President Danilo Medina arrived at Uvero Alto, Punta Cana (east) 10am on Wednesday to head groundbreaking for the hotel Nickelodeon, whose first stage to be built at a cost of US$92.0 million.
“Dominican Republic is the perfect venue for our first international hotel. It will undoubtedly be the role model for future Nickelodeon hotels,” said Viacom International executive vice president Juan Acosta, according to a tweet by the government website.
“The country is going through the best of times in the last 40 years of tourism, thanks to president Danilo Medina,” said Tourism minister Francisco Javier Garcia, who attended the inaugural at Punta Cana, La Altagracia province (east) with other senior officials.
