Medina cuts ribbon on US$35.0M resort in Puerto Plata
Puerto Plata.- President Danilo Medina on Friday headed ribbon cutting on the first stage of the 7-story resort tower Blue Jack Tar, Condor Hotel in Playa Dorada, Puerto Plata and also broke ground for its second stage, to be built at a cost of US$35.0 million.
Accompanied by Tourism minister Francisco Javier Garcia, the president was slated to visit Sosua township at 11am, where local business leader Cuqui Silverio, on behalf of investors, hailed the government´s support for the region´s development.
He said the five families involved in the project piqued other investors´ interest, adding that as of Blue Jack Tar, of Viva Windham Hotels will start operating in December.
