Lifeless body of a teenager found at Malecon Puerto Plata beach
PUERTO PLATA At 1:36 pm on Monday a lifeless body of a 15-year-old who disappeared Sunday afternoon when enjoyed a bath on the beach Camacho located in the Malecon, was found by rescuers and members of various agencies services Puerto Plata.
The teenager named Delvis David Ventura Reyes (Eliezer) lived with his family on the main street from the Las Flores in the bottom of Puerto Plata, was spotted by rescuers bobbing in the Atlantic Ocean off the restaurant “Entre Amigos”.
Immediately a Jet Ski Rescue Amber with two brigades on board, proceeded to recover the body out of water bringing it to the shore where it was loaded on a stretcher to the ambulance and immediately transferred to the Ricardo Limardo Hospital morgue.
The boy had been missing since 4:55 minutes Sunday afternoon (Nov 15th), so a large group of first respondents and members of the various service agencies of Puerto Plata conducted a body search around the perimeter of the coast of the Malecon avenue, such as Civil Defence, Rescue Amber, Red Cross and Rescue Scorpion, plus several units of the National Police.
It was learned that the lifeless body of Delvis David Ventura Reyes (Eliezer) was swept by ocean currents to several huts or caves that exist in reefs throughout the coastal area since according to the marine forecast throughout the Atlantic Coast the east wind is 15-20 knots which causes waves of 4-6 feet near shore, offshore increasing about 7 feet tall.
