Santo Domingo.- The larimar shop-museum in western Baoruco province figures among Dominican Republic´s most attractive and unique tourism destinations.

She said larimar, mined exclusively in Barahona and Baoruco provinces, complements Dominican Republic´s tourism package offered here and abroad.
The official, quoted by elcaribe.com.do, said the BS, together with the also State-owned Reservas Bank and its insurance branch, made good on president Danilo Medina´s pledge for the country, from the South region, to boast a larimar school and shop-museum. “The larimar school-museum and shop have become a landmark for all area visitors.”
