Fruit juices and nectars now under international standards
Juices and nectars produced in the Dominican Republic now need to adhere to Nordom 270, the ruling on their production. It is based on the international general standard for fruit juices and nectars (Codex Stan 247-2005). The Dominican Quality Council’s (Codoca) Technical Commission of experts made the announcement.
The ruling establishes the general specifications for fruit juices and nectars packed in the country. The ruling protects consumers with a clear identification of what is being sold.
