Family protesting about the land the Las Americas International Airport is built on
Members of one family have been protesting outside the Presidential Palace claiming that the land the Las Americas International Airport is built on actually belongs to them.
According to the Mosquea family, they have the title deeds in their hands that prove they are the rightful owners of the 445,000 square meters where the airport is located. They say they have been claiming ownership for the past 54 years.
Feliz Eusebio Mosquea asked the government to help. They say they agree that the airport can remain on 45,000 square meters of the property, but are claiming ownership of the rest of Plot 504/607 of Land District No. 32.
