Environmental Film Festival in September
An excellent selection of environmental awakening films will be screened at venues in 10 Dominican cities from 13-18 September 2015. The Fifth Annual Funglode Film Festival is a collection of inspiring and mind-opening environmental themed films. The program also includes workshops, master classes and talks. Admission to the films is free. Venues are in Santo Domingo, Santiago, Bani, San Francisco de Macoris, Puerto Plata, San Juan de la Maguana, La Vega, Samana, Bonao and Punta Cana.
The films on the program are from the Dominican Republic, Cuba, United States, Canada, Mozambique, Spain, France, the UK, India, Australia, the Netherlands and Germany.
Foreign films include: Activism 2.0 (Emily Hunter), Banking Nature and Sand Wars (Denis Delestrac), The Light Bulb Conspiracy (Cosima Dannoritzer), Cotton Road (Laura Kissel), Dark Side of the Chew (Andrew Nisker), The Change (Fabian Ribezzo), Exuma (Colin Ruggiero), Food Patriots (Jeff Spitz), Gambling on Extinction (Jakob Kneser), How to Change the World (Jerry Rothwell), Ice Bear 3D, Just Eat It (Grant Baldwin), Landfill Harmonic (Brad Allgood, Graham Townsley), Once Upon a Tree (Marleen van der Werf), Antarctica on the Edge (Jon Bowermaster), Plastic Paradise: The Great Pacific Garbage Pack, Resistance (Michael Graziano), Racing Extinction (Louie Psihoyos), Shark Girl (Gisela Kaufmann), Slingshot (Paul Lazarus), The Garden (Scott Hamilton Kennedy) and The Flight (Saransh Sugandh).
