Entrepreneurs defend the installation of booths at the cable car area

PUERTO PLATA The president of the Association of Hotels and Restaurants of Sosua and Cabarete (ASORESOCA) and a member of the Board of Cable car, defended the installation of a Victorian style house placed on Mount Isabel de Torres, supposedly as part of new transformations to attract tourists.

Mr. Thomas Callender, said that at the Cable Car of Puerto Plata it is necessary to have a much faster service than in  a restaurant, as families visiting the funicular are not required to consume what they do not want.
“If you research, the gondola of Colombia has a quick snack stand, and visitors do not need to wait for a meal preparation for long…” – said Callender

This topic has unleashed a tremendous uproar in Puerto Plata, as recently the Board of the Cable Car made a statement which summons individuals, or business professionals to participate in a tender for installing a “Snack” stand in order to meet the needs of customers on a daily demand of greater service, and coffee, tea, milk, water etc.

The authorities of POP had been given a period of seven days for interested persons to submit proposals for the placement of booths at the top of Mount Isabel de Torres, as part of a policy to improve the services offered end users.
