Dominican Beaches Earn Global Recognition

According to 38.6% of international tourists polled while visiting the Dominican Republic, the country’s extraordinary beaches are by far the most important attraction.

The poll, carried out at the country’s international airports, also indicates that 15.6% are attracted by the weather and 11.1% by the hospitality of Dominicans. The poll was sponsored by the country’s Central Bank.

Year after year the country’s beaches continue to receive the highest praise and prestigious international tourism awards issued by international travel websites and publications. Check out the country’s 10 top beaches inwww.accessdr.com.

The world-famous travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler placed Rincon Beach, in the country’s northeast region, on the list of the world’s top 50 most beautiful beaches, coming in 20th on the prestigious list.

The poll reveals that 48.3% of tourists visiting the northeast province of Samana indicated they were truly impressed by the quality of the beaches in the region.

The beaches in Bayahibe and Punta Cana, on the country’s eastern region, came in seventh and eighth, respectively, on the list of the world’s “Top 25 Beach Destinations,” according to the “Traveller’s Choice 2012″ awards, issued TripAdvisor, the popular international travel website.

The prestigious CNN in Spanish television network carried out a 2013 survey of the world’s top 100 beaches and gave “Cayo Arena” – on the country’s north coast – position 34.

The “ABC Viajes” website also prepared its own list in 2013 on the Caribbean’s 10 most beautiful beaches, with Punta Cana included as one of the most beautiful.

The important Washington-based Huffington Post online daily produced a list of its “Top 40 Beaches in the World” in 2014 and Bayahibe came in 17th.

Rincon Beach was included in the Post’s exclusive “World’s Ten Most Amazing Beaches.”

TripAdvisor readers voted in a 2013 poll to include Bavaro Beach and “Cayo Arena” on the country’s northwest Atlantic Coast, on the list of “Top 25 Beaches” in the Caribbean.

In 2014, Bavaro Beach, in Punta Cana, was picked again by TripAdvisor as one of the Caribbean’s top ten beaches.

That same year Travellers’ Choice also included Macao Beach, also on the country’s easternmost region, as one of the top 25 beaches in the Caribbean.

“Cayo Arena,” on the Atlantic Coast – a true paradise on Earth – earned the 21st slot on the list of the Caribbean’s top 25 beaches, according to Travellers’ Choice.
