Cocaine found in Puerto Plata
The National Drug Control Agency (DNCD) has announced that together with the Specialized Airport Security Corps and the Civil Aviation Authority (CESAC) they have discovered 46 kilos of a substance thought to be either cocaine or heroin hidden inside a container at the General Gregorio Luperon International Airport in Puerto Plata.
The shipment was in the cargo area of the terminal and was hidden by brushwood. The drugs were found inside the container in a metal false bottom. It is still not known where the drugs came from or where they were being sent.
