Bicycle Tours Through Mountain Region Plantations
The ecotourism cluster of the mountain town of Constanza, situated right in the very heart of the Dominican Republic, recently launched the Constanza Ecotourism Bike Route, which will provide bike lovers visiting the region with tours to scenic mountain-region plantations. The route follows international standards, and takes into consideration safety guidelines, a clearly designed route map, as well as other features. The cluster has established a bicycle rental service and tour guides to make the experience much more exciting.
The rented bicycles are specifically suited for this type of mountain tour.
Constanza is an agricultural town with spring-like temperatures all-year round. The region is known for its beautiful plantations, where local farmers plant all kinds of vegetables. Situated in the center of the Dominican Republic, in the country’s highest mountain range, the region has become a favorite destination for those interested in eco and mountain tourism.
The bicycle route is part of an innovative tourism project that is being developed with the support of the Inter-American Development Bank and the National Competitiveness Council.
