Beach clean-up day
Last Monday, December 7th, so the first Monday of the month, it was beach clean-up day again at the beach of Sosúa. It was Bill Passmore, owner of ‘Sosúa Diving’, and the board members of the foundation ADSS who took the initiative to organize this clean-up day once more.
Special thanks go to the staff and volunteers of Merlin Dive Center and Dive Cabarete. Thanks to Karen of Dominican Aid, who donated the plastic bags to recover the garbage. Angela of the Checkpoint Bar and Eileen of Eric Tours were also present. Both divers and volunteers recovered a lot of plastic waste. Dozens garbage bags full of trash and other debris were disposed. Besides the diving schools and many volunteers, ADSS, Mayor Ilana Neumann, Check Point Bar, North Coast Designs and Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar also support these clean-up days.
