Almonte Rodriguez planned to order killing of investigators
A report in El Dia reveals that at the time of his death last week, contract killer Jose Miguel Almonte Rodriguez (Job) was in possession of a list of several public prosecution officials who were preparing cases against him. According to reports, he swallowed a piece of paper with the list that was later recovered in an autopsy.
El Dia reports that Almonte Rodriguez managed a contract-killing network from the jail.
Almonte Rodriguez was killed in a reported clash with Police agents in the Monte Plata jail.
The report says that four cell phones and nine phone chips were found in his cell. The law enforcement authorities have linked Almonte Rodriguez to at least 20 contract killings, including Ruben Soto Hayet who was murdered in the La Francesa bakery parking lot, and Omar Antigua Polanco who was murdered in the Carrefour parking lot, both allegedly on the orders of drug capo Jose David Figueroa Agosto, who was sentenced to 209 years in jail in his native Puerto Rico.
